February 2008: Now faster with larger hard drives across the board and multi-touch trackpads for the MacBook Pro. Also, more affordable: $100 cheaper for the MacBook and $200 cheaper for the MacBook Pro. Configure and order now!
Larger iPod touch
February 2008: Now available with up to 32GB of storage, the newest iPod touch holds more than ever before. While it's clear that solid-state storage (like USB pen drives) are the future, the largest capacities are still best served by hard drives, so if you want 80GB or 160GB, still look to the iPod classic.
MacBook Air
January 2008: As small as can be, the thinnest laptop on the planet is the MacBook Air. Now ready for configuration and pre-ordering online, it's just 4mm thick at its front and weighs less than 1.4 kilos. If weight has been an issue for you, this is the machine you want. Available from late February.
New Mac Pro Released
January 2008: The Mac Pro has been updated ahead of Macworld, with up to double the application speed of the last generation Mac Pro. Eight cores are now standard, with increased internal speeds across the board, hardware RAID options (including Serial-Attached-SCSI) and up to 32GB RAM. Specs and more can be found at Apple, plus online configuration here. (Note: Education pricing is not yet available — to be updated soon.)
New XSERVE Released
January 2008: Xserve has also been updated — you can now order the first eight-core Xserve @ 3.0GHz. Increased bus speeds, higher memory ceiling and optional hardware RAID support make this a worthwhile upgrade. Configure now! (Note: Education pricing is not yet available — to be updated soon.)

MacBook and MacBook Pro update
November 2007: MacBooks have seen an almost-silent upgrade. No price change, a slight processor boost, but an upgrade to the SuperDrive (to 8x) plus a graphics boost to the Intel X3100 and the internals are now based on the Santa Rosa chipset. Like the MacBook Pros, it's now possible to order a MacBook with up to 4GB of RAM and a 250GB hard drive. The larger hard drive option is also available on MacBook Pros, as is an optional CPU boost to 2.6GHz.
Leopard Released!
October 2007:Mac OS X 10.5, also known as Leopard, is set to be released this Friday the 26th, and we're very happy to be launching it at 6 pm through 7.30 pm. We'll also be at UQ Connect to show it in action on Monday the 29th, 11 am to 1 pm.
Why the excitement? If you've been anticipating Leopard all year then you'll likely know all about it. If not, we have many more details here.

All the fancy multi-touch trimmings from the iPhone are present: intelligent typing, pinch-zooming, flick-browsing and so on. The widescreen display is perfect for watching movies or TV on the go (up to 5 hours of battery life) and navigating through your music and your podcasts has never been easier (up to 20 hours battery life). Guided tour here, info here and pre-order here.
New iPod classic with larger storage
September 2007: The classic white iPod is dead. Long live the silver iPod! Now with 80GB or 160GB of storage for holding enormous quantities of music and video -- or perhaps a backup of your Mac's entire home directory. There's a brand new interface, with Cover Flow (from iTunes) for easy browsing via album art. It's also thinner than before, but the battery lasts up to 40 hours playing music on the 160GB model. Expected next week, so order here.
New iPod nano with video
September 2007: The newly squat iPod nano has a tiny screen, but with the same pixel dimensions as the iPod classic (320x240 pixels) it's high resolution and 65% brighter; great for video on the go. Storing 4GB or 8GB and in a range of new colours, it still plays back music for up to 24 hours at a charge and weighs under 50g. Order here or get more info here.
New iPod shuffle
September 2007: The iPod shuffle is pretty much the same, just in different colours and $10 cheaper. The colours have changed (silver, aqua, green, purple) so if you really want orange, blue or pink, pop in quick while we still have the old iPod shuffle in stock. Order now.
New iMacs!
August 2007: Speed, gloss and metal. Thinner than before, 20" or 24" display, up to a 2.8GHz Intel Core 2 Extreme CPU and new graphics hardware too. A new, slim keyboard and the new iLife ’08 round it out. Better value, too: the new low-end 20" is cheaper than the last SuperDrive-equipped 17" iMac. Configure and order now!
Upgraded Mac mini
August 2007: As an option for a media centre or a small processing box, the mini just got more appealing. Core 2 Duo chips in both models and a price drop make it even more of a bargain. Configure and order now!
New iWork ’08
August 2007: Bolstering the alternative to Microsoft Office for those who don't need the full package, iWork ’08 introduces a whole new application: Numbers. Spreadsheets and charting within a page layout mindset, it's perfect for presenting data well. Pages is still a great alternative to Word, and now supports tracking changes. Keynote (as used by Al Gore and Steve Jobs) gains great new transitions and workflow enhancements, including the amazing new Instant Alpha, removing photo backgrounds without fuss or Photoshop. Imports and exports all the current MS Office formats, too.
New iLife ’08
August 2007: There's a brand new iPhoto (Events to categorise your images, selective photo importing), new Garageband (instantly change the genre of an entire composition), improved iDVD and improved iWeb. iMovie is a completely new application that lets you access all your video instantly and review it seamlessly. The latest HDV and AVCHD standards are also supported.
